Barcelona sold player after he failed to pass toilet paper to President

Barcelona sold club legend Johan Neeskens because he refused to pass the then-club president toilet paper at a moment of need, a new book has claimed.
Apparently Neeskens, who was capped 49 times by Holland and won the Cup Winner's Cup at Barca, was sold by Jose Luis Nuñez after refusing to pass him toilet paper under a cubicle door at the Estadio Jose Rico Perez stadium in Alicante. Continue

The Dutch midfielder played alongside compatriot Johan Cruyff at the Nou Camp during the 1970s, and, according to the new book Barca Inèdit, via The Mirror, the incident dates back to 1978, when Neeskens was one of the Catalan club's best players.
Nuñez was reportedly fuming at being embarrassed in such a disrespectful manner, and vowed to sell Neeskens at the first available opportunity. He stuck to his guns by accepting a bid from New York Cosmos in 1979, when Neeskens was just entering his prime at just 28-years-old.
The Dutchman returned to the club as a coach under Frank Rijkaard in 2006, winning the Champions League, but the pair were sacked and replaced by Pep Guardiola in 2008.
Word to the wise for Messi, Neymar and Suarez: If Josep Maria Bartomeu ever finds himself in a sticky situation, help him!
