AC Milan hand's debut to 16 year old Gianluigi Donnarumma

AC Milan handed a debut to 16-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in Sunday’s win over Sassuolo, fielding the youngest-ever goalie in Serie A history in the process.
Donnarumma replaced experienced former Real Madrid keeper Diego Lopez, 33, for the must-win game clash. The teen had played for AC in pre-season, but had never started a first-team competitive match. Continue
Legendary Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon was 17 when he made his debut between the sticks for Parma many moons ago.
Manager Sinisa Mihajlovic’s selection was all the braver when you consider he is under severe pressure following a dismal start to the domestic season, and is rumoured to be fighting for his job at this early stage of the campaign.
The gamble paid off, with Milan coming out 2-1 winners, and Donnarumma handling the occasion well.
The victory moves them up to 10th in table, with summer signings Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano scoring the vital goals.
Another Gianluigi...coincidence? Maybe, but great feat nonetheless.
