Venue: Stamford Bridge
Time: 12:45pm
The Normal One and the Special One face off for the first time in the Premier league tomorrow in the early Saturday fixture.
After suffering their fifth top-flight defeat this season away to West Ham last Saturday, defending Capital One Cup champions Chelsea were knocked out of the tournament by Stoke City on penalties three days later. Continue
To compound the club, and indeed Mourinho's woes, the FA handed the Portuguese tactician and his assistant Silvino Louro a misconduct charge following the pair's dismissals at Upton Park while both Chelsea and West Ham were charged for failing to control their players during the game.
Mourinho, though, is expected to still be present on the touchline when the Blues host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
That task will not be made any easier, however, by the Reds having secured their first win under new manager Jurgen Klopp on Wednesday against Bournemouth in the League Cup.
The German coach has now led the club to three draws and a victory since taking over from Brendan Rodgers, and Liverpool will therefore see their trip to west London as the perfect opportunity to maintain their momentum against a Chelsea side who only have two wins to their name in the league this term.
Chelsea Team News
Chelsea will assess striker Diego Costa, who could play despite hurting his ribs in the midweek League Cup exit at Stoke.
Pedro will be monitored after returning to training, while Nemanja Matic is back from a ban, but Branislav Ivanovic and Thibaut Courtois remain out.
Liverpool Team News
Liverpool striker Christian Benteke is fit to play after recovering from a knee injury.
However, Daniel Sturridge is still sidelined by a similar problem.
Kolo Toure misses out with a hamstring injury but James Milner returns from a one-match suspension.
