In Peru’s top division on Sunday, the official calling the match between rivals Sporting Cristal’s and Juan Aurich literally should have found his name on the scoresheet, for accidentally providing Cristal with the game-winning assist!
With the two rivals tied 2-2, Juan Aurich’s goalkeeper tried to punt the ball up-field, but instead blasted the kick straight into the referee’s heels. From there, the ball bounced straight into the path of Irven Avila, who accepted the gift and one-timed it into the empty net. See video after the cut
