A football fan has been arrested after breaking into the Brazil Olympic team hotel in a bid to meet his hero, Neymar.
The determined supporter was found by authorities in the laundry room of the squad's base in the central city of Goiania.
ESPN Brazil claim that the intruder was a 21-year-old sports student, who managed to gain access to the hotel with a fake Brazil FA (CBF) pass.
"Hotel staff noticed something strange in his behaviour and called us," police officer Vladimir Passos told AFP.
"[He] planned to approach Neymar and the team."
Other reports in Brazil claim that the young man was a fan of Barcelona ace Neymar and wanted to take a selfie with his idol.
Security questions have been raised following the breach but Passos says that the incident has now been taken care of.
"The flaw was spotted and we've fixed it," he said.
Brazil are currently preparing for August's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where they will begin their campaign against South Africa on August 4.
The Selecao will then go on to play against Iraq and Denmark.
